The Dutch article has added a header

European tourists may still be able to visit the United States this year. The US embassy in the Netherlands previously informed BNR that the entry ban will be extended until the end of the year, but now states that that information may not be correct. The embassy says the answer was not accurate and apologizes for that.

Where were you flying to? If Tampa you might be able to get BA flights to MCO.

We're staying positive at the moment as were due to fly 26th August with Virgin. We have had our cruise cancelled and replaced it with 4 nights at Copper Creek Villas. The bonus for that is we now have 125% cruise credit. We managed to get all the days we wanted under Disney's new reservation system and look forward to booking our ADRs soon.

Nobody can guarantee for sure what will happen in August, but everyone on here is aware of the situation and the factors involved, so reminders aren’t needed.

Good luck to everyone still holding out hope - there is always hope, and I still enjoy reading this thread. I look forward to seeing trip reports from those of you that get to see your wishes come true ✈️
Thank you, that’s exactly my point. If my flights get cancelled I will post on here and say so but I will still be cheering on those who still hope to go. I certainly won’t say. sorry, my flights are cancelled so nobody’s going on holiday.

Wonder if its worth considering any alternative or whether BA are now cancelling all for august?

Is there any airline still flying in august to florida?

After hearing my flight cancelled this morning (BA 27th Aug Gatwick to Tampa) I've contacted BA and change the outgoing flight to Heathrow to Tampa via Miami.

There are options to fly via Philadelphia too.

It means leaving a couple of hours earlier and arriving in Tampa a couple of hours later.

So, still aiming to be in Florida on the 27th (hopefully! )
