Hotel Recommendations for Clearwater?
Hi - we’re considering adding a couple of nights in Clearwater to our June 2022 tour, because it looks so nice on all the trippies I’ve read. We’ve never been so have no idea what the hotels are like. We enjoy our food and would like to be near the beach.
DS will be with us so There will be three adults and parking is essential. So over to you Dibbers - where would you stay? Thanks

We stayed at The Sandpearl last year. Loved it. Quite pricey but right on the beach with Valet parking. Will be doing a couple of nights when we can return. Opal Sands gets good reviews but is slightly pricier and I prefer the look of The Sandpearl pool area. Pics in trip report in my signature below

We have previously stayed at the Hilton, but last time in 2019 we stayed in PierHouse 60 as it was literally 1/3 of the price! It is just across the road from the beach and has underground parking. It is right beside the marina and has a lovely roof-top bar. Rooms are modern and clean. We actually preferred it to the Hilton and would book it again even if the prices were the same.

Thanks George - I think that report was one of the ones that inspired me to give Clearwater a try - some lovely photos there, especially the one of your daughters at the end. The sandpearl looks good so I’ll check it out, as well as Opal Sands.

We have stayed at the Hilton, Sandpearl and Opal sands.
I found the Opal was the best for us as a family. Every floor has a guest pantry with cookies and fresh fruit for everyone. They also have small water bottles in the fridge for you to take at leisure. Every balcony is very private and all have a sea view. You can actually watch dolphins, manatee and stingray swim by, and on the odd occasion a turtle. We find it’s an excellent base to explore Clearwater. |

We stayed at the Hilton. It was lovely, right in the beach and they had their own private section. The rooms were lovely and bright/clean, and we had balconies with sea view. We ate at the hotel one night and the food was really good too. They have an underground/under cover car park. The pool was never busy, only ever a couple of people there.
