Mobile Anyone have a malshi dog

After much research we are looking for one, albeit I’d prefer not a puppy but older dog.

It's a cross bread dog so as with any you get the good or the bad of both breads of both mixes.
For me buy a pure bread of a dog that suits your family/ your/ dog needs.
Designer breeds for me are ways to sell mongrel dogs for stupid money or people to waste money on whichever side of fence you sit on.
(no criticism here)

My daughter has a Malshi. Beautiful dog with a lovely temperament. Although she is very vocal and a bit of a diva. High maintenance too. Needs a new hair do every 6 weeks 😂 But we all love her!

A cross between a Maltese and a ≈≈≈≈z tsu...both gorgeous little dogs.
My dog now Flo...is a ≈≈≈≈z Tsu...and my dog before...Lily was a Maltese.
I could imagine they would be a dream dog with their temprements etc.

Not a Malshi but we’ve got a Shih Tzu who is the most lovable and laid back dog I’ve ever known.
He does need grooming every 6 weeks and his insurance is £36 a month so that’s something you need to be prepared for but he’s worth it

I have a lhatese, maltese and Lhasa apso.
She is 12 now and the sweetest thing ever!
Her boosters, flea & worming tablets are £200 per year, £40 per month for insurance (that’s probably because she is old) grooming £30 every 6 weeks (definitely needed) and £5 per week for dog food. She is worth every penny.
I originally wanted a Maltese but they was too expensive, Tilly was cheap as chips because her litter was an accident (before mixed breeds were popular)
This is tilly aka sock thief !

I used to think like this but my opinion has changed. Oxford definition of a mongrel is :
a dog of no definable type or breed.
"she's a particularly intelligent mongrel with a lot of collie in her"
A well bred doodle dog would not fit this description as you would know exactly the background of it.
Let me give you two examples. You can have a breeder who has bred their poodle with another dog. Both hip scored and health checked for hereditary issues. Raised in the right setting with all the vet checks, well socialised with updates to prospective owners etc who they speak to in order to vet to ensure that they have good homes.
Scenario 2. Some bloke has two labs that he breeds from twice a year to sell on to people on line. Or worse still from a puppy farm.
Just because one is a pure breed and one not does not make one better than the other. All dogs were cross bred at some point to get a specific type, it's how they are bred that's important. Like I say, I used to think like you but now have a wider understanding and am less judgemental
