I’d just hand over to my husband and offer tea and helpful advice 😂 usually whilst I’m drinking wine

A few things to consider. You can buy a pack and do it yourself. But also you could get a local joiner to build one for you as they have the skill and it would be designed for you. I'm not sure on what size you are looking for so not sure if your budget is realistic for one with double glazing.
No matter what you go for a slap or concrete base will ensure it lasts longer. As for heating it depends how you intend to use it. If you insulate it and board it inside you may find you don't need much heating and a basic oild filled rad would do. You would need to run electricity from the house , and so you might as well run a cat 5 internet cable at the same time. |

That's a lot less than what I've been seeing!
A fairly "normal" one installed and insulated with electrics etc (4mx4m) seems to be about £10k, and fancier ones about £25k!

yeah, if i'd gotten to the stage where i'd put up half of it only to find they'd sent some of the wrong bits, i'd be burning the whole thing down and giving up...
so yeah, i'd be getting someone in to do the work, i'd be broken after the first day of digging and stuff! |

It really depend on what level of shed you want. From 10 x 8 £1000 it’s just what quality and size . Ours 14 x 10 sloping roof double glassed windows and double doors.
£2400 erected. The concrete base we did ourselves £150 |

We paid our electrician separately, about £500 I think, and ours isn’t insulated. We’re hoping the gas stove will keep it cosy enough to use all year round.

We had our garden room built last year, it was made to measure by the builder. It’s fully insulated, under floor heating, has sink/hot water etc. The slatted part on the left hand side is a hidden shed. The boards are composite so we never have to treat them.
