And what was supposed to have been a way of speaking out about their treatment at the hands of the press (that’s my understanding of why they left the country anyway), turned out to be a bashing of the Royal Family. So they have now potentially caused great upset amongst Harry’s own family. I just can’t get my head round why he would do that to people he claims to love and respect.

What did they want to achieve?

Quoting myself here, but I’m interested to know what those on the side of Harry & Meghan think they hoped to achieve.

At least most of you have moved on to accepting it was said and now its all about the context dear lord...

Oh and finally... "We are not a racist family" says Will... Cough - Phillip - Cough...

Anyway couldn't help jumping back in for a moment...

I will leave you all to your victim shaming and piece by piece destruction of a pregnant suicidal women. Bravo for modern Britain...
I'd be very surprised if most families dont have a "Philip" and their kids and grandkids keep telling them "Nan, Grandad, you can't say that anymore!"

I really cant see any members of the young Royals being part of this "group".

(Well maybe apart from Harry 🤣 )

For me there seems to be polar extremes in this. It's a real Marmite issue.

I'm much more in the middle.

Yes, I don't like people playing various 'cards' but there is a danger that anyone mentioning their concern over an ism is accused of being woke or a snowflake.

It's a tough balance to pull off.

Is it right to question someone's account of something? Yes, as long as it's in a reasonable respectful way. IMO if you launch into a diatribe against the person, accusing them of fabricating issues including suicidal thoughts because you 'know' that it's "a pack of lies" then that's not alright.

Where the interview failed in my opinion is that Oprah didn't really question Meghan about the alleged racist comment. She should have asked more questions e.g. how was it said, what was the context, when was it said etc.

The fact that these questions weren't asked doesn't mean, IMO, that the whole thing can be consigned as woke nonsense, but it does cause issues.

Like you I’m in the middle. I can understand those being on one side or the but the views I struggle with are the extremes.

Especially those who believe every word that was said in the interview and get vey heated should anyone disagree - Do they believe everything said by everyone on TV or is it just Harry and Meghan.

There is of course the other extreme, those who believe the RF can do no wrong, but they seem to not as aggressive towards those who disagree
