Thank you and nothing near me (but worth trying) - Clapham is a black hole for any DIY type places (that are open) I have walked the streets trying to find a suitable place and zilch (I am avoiding all transport at the moment as still in a support bubble until we get second jabs)

You probably need a old fashioned hardware store run by an old fella in a brown coat who will look at your bit of paper , go off and rummage and come back with exactly the right thing and charge you pennies.
If you get stuck I’ll try mine .

Thank you - if what arrives tomorrow isn’t right I will go off scouting around Clapham/Battersea as nothing around Balham Hill or Nightingale Lane (Clapham Common West Side is were I live and it all still new to me )

duchy I do so miss the 2 stores we had like that locally they always smelt of a mix of parafin compost and seed potatoes
As you say you went in I need 6 of these he’d disappear in to the depths where no one else dared come back with 6 or 7 just in case put them in a brown paper bag charge 50p and you were sorted no 200 spare screws you will never use again

Duchy privately sent me a link to such a shop near me (well Battersea - they do like to stretch the Clapham boundary name lol) and actually i will visit just for the smell - some of it will remind me of a strep called Chandlers in Grantham where sacks of fertiliser and paraffin filled the air with heavy scent of yes the 2 Ronnies sketch. The smell of that and petrol lawnmowers remind me of my childhood (year I am that odd guy)

Love Arbroath smokies used to get them from the local farmers market. Might just go looking for some for tea next week.
