More misery yesterday as it was announced Y13 are having a prom but not Y11 as previously announced
double whammy the local catholic comp has now booked my daughters schools venue/date which they had cancelled... every other school my daughter has pals at is going ahead... gonna be a riot i tell thee |

We have only just been told that they will by having prom but not till mid July as they struggled to get a venue
Still no idea on his last day. I emailed his tutor to be told they’re not sure yet :/

No prom here for my son - he’s not bothered though.
They finish on 28th May and are having a little leavers’ outside gathering to say goodbye and sign shirts etc.

No formal/prom for my A level leaver either. He finished school yesterday but had a lovely send off ceremony & got lovely awards, hoodie & treats! He’s not bothered about it, but I think it’ll affect the girls more.

Prom planned for my daughters year on the 9th of July. We had to buy tickets by the 3rd of May. The venue is at a Marriot hotel locally. She has got her whole outfit ready (were lucky to find a dress she loved pretty quickly) so now we are just hoping its all a go ahead but the school did say that this depended on the roadmap out of covid.

All the other schools have arranged proms here too. When they sent our daughter an email this week saying the ice cream van was coming to school on the last day as if they were 5 years old ! She said they are that tight at school they probably won't even let them have a 99! She is disappointed but I have to say I think I'm taking it worse than she is ! |

DD is currently deciding about prom as we still haven't heard if it's actually happening and her best friend isn't sure she wants to go. Edited at 05:04 PM. |
