Disney International Program

Hi everyone. Possibly a left field question ! My daughter is very keen to apply for Disney's international program when she hits 18 (which is in a couple of years time). Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this program, or knows anyone who has for feedback. As you would expect with Disney, the website does a fantastic job of promoting the program. In fact I want to do it 😀. Anyway, if anyone can shed any light on experiences good and bad, it would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

My DD did the ICP in 2011 and loved it. She was a lifeguard at Typhoon Lagoon. If I can find her blog I will post the link

Lots of blogs out there. If you google "Catherine's magical year" there is a link to all her blogs...she's done the ICP (now the CEP) twice, the Cultural representative program and is now working on he Disney Cruise Line.
Also go to wdwip.com. Lots of info there

Thank you. Also found a couple of other posts on here. She is now beside herself with excitement. Guess I'll just need to visit whilst she is there 😁

Be aware it's quite hard to get into, and experience in the customer service industry is basically required. 3000 people applied for this summer, for 250 places! You also have to have completed at least one semester at university before you can apply.

Just FYI this is for the college programme, not the CRP. You don't need to be at university to do the cultural representative programme which is the year long, work in Epcot's UK Pavillion programme.

The demand for the CRP is much higher though.

I thoroughly recommend CRP as not only does it have less criteria for applicants, its also longer, in fact I think its the longest international program on offer.
I agree with the competition though, its VERY tough. I saw so many people at interview that never made it through. I had lots of customer service and theme park work experience so I got lucky!
