fly drive with tui

when you book a fly drive holiday with tui does the car come with full insurance or do you have to upgrade it so it would be cheaper to get the car elsewhere

Mike. What do the T & C’s say when you do a dummy booking?
Reason I say this is because travel companies constantly change their policies so what somebody got in say 2019 may not apply today.

Someone posted on here a couple of weeks ago that Tui basic fly drive now included all the proper insurances. I was a little surprised because based on a Dibber's experience about 18 months ago they certainly didn't.

The Dibber hired a car independently from Andy at DFCH for less than Tui wanted for an upgrade.

Sadly that Dibber may have been mistaken as this is what I've just found

I would go with the cheapest car then haggle with car salesman , as he will try to sell you the world for an extra dollar , as I found nearly every time there was an extra cost when I got home anyway , I did a 2 week tui whole package , with the cheapest car then upgraded to jeep cherokee , end up paying all in an extra $250 Whitchurch was still cheaper than tui , as the car company will add on tyre/breakdown/local tax/etc on top anyway

I booked a package with tui for next august when our Xmas trip to the canaries was cancelled and for us it was cheaper to book the car with Andy at discount florida car hire than pay the insurance upgrade and car upgrade cost with tui.

Got a good price with TUI with full insurance which was slightly less than what was getting quoted by Andy at DFCH.

Happy with Alamo, but not sure if at Sanford they do skip the counter. From memory they don't, but it may have changed.
