Tickets and help with choices

Hi,

My son and his friend are planning an 8 night break to Orlando, 4th July to 12th July 2019. They are looking at hotels on International Drive.

They are happy to visit as many Disney and Universal Parks as reasonably possible. Therefore my question is what would people advise regarding ticket purchases?

The Disney and Universal Combo ticket is around £640 each. Is this the best option? Or are there smarter ticket combinations, such as buying on the day?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Buying on the day is always more expensive, so shopping around and buying before travelling is definitely the way to go.

As it's only a shorter break, I would go with a 2 or 3 day Universal and a 4 day Disney. Orlando Attractions will do a date specific 4 day Disney base ticket for £311.60 starting on 8th July and a 2 park 2 day hopper for Universal at £197.60 (3 day £212.04). That is a big saving over £640. Gives them 6 (or 7) full park days and leaves a couple of days to do other things.
