Mobile Couple of questions about the Turnpike.

Hi all.

We are currently sitting in the Premier Inn in at Gatwick, waiting for our flight tomorrow. I started thinking (as you do &#129300

We are driving from International Drive on Saturday morning down to Miami airport, and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of :

1. Roughly how long does it take.
2. How many places are there to stop f.
for food.
3. How much will it cost for the tolls
(Alamo)

We only have the car for 2 days, and drop it off at Miami airport.

Thanks
James

It’s about 3.5-4 hours down the turnpike, tolls are about $16 (we had the sun pass so I can’t be sure, but I think my sister-in-law said it was around that amount for them).

Not sure how many places exactly, but there seemed to be plenty. They’re pretty decent services too, with good food options (Earl of Sandwich for example).

Thanks for the quick reply. That sounds pretty good.

Do you have any idea how long it would take using the i27?

Used the Visitor toll pass 2 weeks ago and the total for 2 weeks was £38 that included Miami and back on the Turnpike. Rest stops are in the middle and if I remember rightly about every 40 miles or so. No Starbucks so wife wasn't impressed but lots of fast food options.

I don’t think there’s a lot in it to be honest.

Thanks for your help. That actually seems quite reasonable.

Thanks JoJo. I'll have a look at which one might be better.

There are service stations along the way, they have lots of food options but they are a little more expensive due to captive market and busier too.

We drove it last year and it was about 4-4.5 hours, departing around 10.30 on a Sunday...one word of caution, be prepared for bugs on the windscreen - we ran out of screenwash at one point and found it difficult to see as they were so bad.

the 27 is a little slower but you'll come across some towns along the way for food etc

Thanks for the reply. Was that the 27 you were on?
