Very envious! Great price on the flights. We love both and were due to visit Seattle again this year We've rebooked for next September now

Check out my trip report in my signature and feel free to ask any questions. We also got the light rail from Seattle airport and then the monorail to the hotel - really easy!

Are you likely to do a trip report? Whilst I have been to SFO before, I would be really interested to hear of your time in Seattle. .. and how you choose to get from Tacoma to downtown Seattle.
I’ll probably do a mini report with pics when we get back. Have you moved your holiday to next year now? I was following your story & it sound like a fantastic trip!
I haven’t looked into how we’ll be getting from the airport, I was thinking Lyft/Uber but I’ll look at the other options too. I used Lyft all the time on my last trip to SF as it was so cheap & convenient. So I’ll probably do the same this time round & in Seattle too when needed.

My oldest son has been talking about the NW Pacific, both Washington and Oregon states. He is keen to visit Seattle.

Money, Covid and everything else allowing I quite fancy that area.

I recently bought the newly published edition of DK’s Eyewitness book on NW Pacific. Love their Eyewitness books!

I look forward to reading your updates. If you would like any SF advice please let me know.

Happy planning.
Thank you & hope you make it out that way soon!
I too love the eyewitness books, I’ve just bought the Seattle top 10 & the San Francisco one too. I love the maps that come with it!

It’s very very walkable. We didn’t use uber once.

I didn’t really see the point of the monorail personally - it covered quite a short area and we walked the distance of it pretty quickly!

Sounds fab! We are waiting for August flights to rebook our California road trip that we should have gone on next Saturday! Hoping to go from August 11th for 18 nights which is a bit earlier than this year so hopefully flights aren’t too expensive! We have the Riu plaza fisherman’s wharf booked already as we just moved the dates from this year to next!

Sounds like a brilliant trip! You’ll be glad to get the flights booked! I’ve stayed in this hotel in 2019 when it was the Sheraton the Rui plaza must of took it over recently, but it’s a lovely hotel & in the perfect location! Happy planning 😊
