I’ve just caught up on it tonight. Not a fan of Matt Lucas and was worried I wouldn’t like it, but I have to admit he made me laugh tonight and I think will fit right in. I will still miss Sandi though. She was great.

I wasn’t sure on Matt Lucas either, he’s not a favourite of mine but I was pleasantly surprised, he made me laugh & I thought he worked well with Noel too - love GBBO

Enjoyed the first episode. Love Noel Fielding. This year it was filmed at Down Hall in Essex. One DDs friends works there and got very excited prior to filming, but it ended up clashing with her mock A levels so she never got to see any of it being filmed. Lots of her colleagues have said Paul is a bit of a diva and not particularly pleasant

That doesn’t surprise me. I can’t take to him at all and wish he would leave. He just loves himself.

No it doesn’t surprise me either. I don’t wish he would leave though because he is very knowledgeable and I don’t mind watching him but I can well imagine he is a diva.

I have never really watched anything with Matt Lucas in, I don’t think it would be my type of humour. He was ok though, I thought the Boris sketch was good.

I love Matt Lucas, am watching this just because he's presenting, very talented and funny man. His Boris sketch was brilliant.

Really enjoyed the first episode. I'm not a ML fan though so will just have to grin and bear that one. I personally found the opening sketch tasteless and very badly timed and felt it should have been removed. Looking forward to the next installment. Also made me want to bake a battenburg... love marzipan. I saw on instagram yesterday (think it may of been bakingmad) a four layer round batternburg, thought it may be easier than a square one, and bigger! lol

Just caught it on catch up. I really enjoyed a 'normal' programme (in the same way we're loving All Creatures). I thought Matt fitted in well and loved his Boris sketch. I've always liked Pru better than Mary Berry, I liked her on the Great British Menu.
I think the man with the 'big ideas' might go next unless he actually bakes what he promises .

Does anybody watch ‘An Extra Slice’ tonight? Love the cakes that have failed.

Yes, we always do. Was a good panel mix this week. Nice that they were in a studio too, social distancing works much better than a video feed for these types of panel shows. They bounce quips and feed to and from each other much more naturally.

Could do without the interminably long Tom Allen section though.
