They probably won't phone back today as today is the last day of the month and if they needed the sale to meet the monthly number they would have done it yesterday to lock it in.

However I wouldn't be surprised if you get a call tomorrow (1st Aug) so they can get a headstart on August's sale quota

Would you believe he’s just phoned lol. He’s offered £306 per month including the service plan. What would you do

The service package is about 30 per month on my merc I’d say you can do better.

I’d go 280 with service plan

Am I reading this right? He has upped the monthly payments and chucked in the pack?

He is having a laugh sorry.

Dealers know most people never use the 3 year pack in its entirety so the cost to them is negligible. Invariably the car is sold on after 2+ years so only one service used.

I agree - I could have been talked round at the last mentioned price with the service pack as a freebie, but upping the price and adding in the service pack is essentially an insult to his intelligence - he'd be mad to take it...

(The service pack is basically free - apart from a few consumables - as the staff will be paid whether they service the car or not)

Just read this thread.

A BMW 320i Sport with a 2017 plate should not be more than £15k. There are models on Car Guru as low as £13k.

Many bmw 320i at around £13k will be higher mileage with basic spec and often ex lease/hire and not always well cared for. Bmw do charge a premium but many of their cars are low mileage with good spec and the bmw used car warranty is superior to most other dealers warranties. I have seen many 17 plate cars on offer already on there 3rd owner which I wouldn't touch as I would become the 4th owner on a 17 plate car.

I would always pay a premium for a decent well cared for car with low miles and a good spec.

I kind of agree with you. Problem is the car from the BMW dealer will still be worth as little as the car from the garage down the road when you come to sell it.

I would pay £1k more for a like for like car at a dealer maximum
