My friend has just messaged me to say they are booking to go to America next Easter and asked me if it will definitely go ahead 😱 I have no idea 🤷 I would like to think so but who knows.
What do you all think?

If you asked me before Christmas I would have said definitely yes but now I don’t know anymore, depends on new variants and worldwide vaccine rollout.
Will it take many years for travel to return to 2019 levels.

My thoughts exactly. I just don’t feel confident for early 2022. I don’t want to tell that to my friend though, I don’t want to rain on her parade bless her 😟

I think if there’s no travel by Easter 2022, then we’ll have far bigger problems!

Personally, I would book, but I’d book a package for the ATOL protection.

Lets be brutally honest here. If the Airlines aren't doing long haul by this Autumn they will be bankrupt and cease to exist.

Then flying to America etc will no longer be possible. Governments know this and every Country will open their Borders as soon as they can.

I think flights will go ahead by then, but Biden has to let us in.
I was considering Florida for April 22 but we are planning on Oct 22 now. Mainly because we want to hit the parks would prefer masks to not be mandatory by then.

Our plan was to go in Feb 22, but not sure now, so will book accommodation on free cancellation, and flights last minute or as a flydrive, i eont payout for tickets in advance though. I hope things get going this year, or there wont be any holiday industry left 🙁. Alot will depend on travel insurance and whether we can get DD vaccinated. X

I think by end of this year some things will return but I think wearing mask and socially distancing will be with his for some years and that will effect gatherings such as parks - it will be different for sure
