Spring Cleaning...

I know we are all snowed in currently, but with Spring just around the corner am wondering what all you Dibbers think constitutes Spring Cleaning? As opposed to regular rest of the year cleaning?

I like to get the windows open wide and give them a good wash on the inside of the frames etc, and pop my net voile in the wash, what other wonderful cleaning jobs should I add to my special spring clean list please?

I am starting to get the annual urge to declutter...

my first spring-clean job is to pull out the shoe storage as it gets grit underneath it - also lets me sneakily throw out the shoes/flip-flops/crocs etc that neeeeeed to go.

Ooo I like this idea, but ours are integrated so not an easy one!

We go to town every Spring.

Windows and frames Flashed and dried.
Every uPVC groove and angle cleaned with a toothbrush.
All non fixed furniture pulled out, backs wiped and hoovered underneath.
The few remaining non spot lights fully cleaned.
Coving wiped down in every room.
Beds pulled out and carpets hoovered underneath.
PIR's cleaned.
Smoke alarms hoovered.
Pictures/Mirrors taken down and cleaned behind.
Kickboards off the kitchen units and wash underneath the units - hard job lying down to do it!

Not starting for 2 weeks though as I am changing every door in the house from next Friday.

Yep washing machine free standing fridge and freezer pulled out and everything cleaned behind kick boards off and underneath units hoovered and washed
Tops of kitchen units cleaned every cupboard emptied and stuff sorted through
Lamp shade washed or hoovered beds and furniture pulled out and hoovered underneath base boards wiped down behind them as well curtains either washed or just out for a good blow on a windy day
I do my window frames every time I do the windows same with door sills etc
Good dinner service all through the dishwasher
Touch up paint where needed etc I go mad but I get great satisfaction ticking things off the list DH just rolls his eyes

Don’t forget to clean inside appliances. Washing machine deep cleaning solution etc

Oooh- you all put me to shame! Would never have thought that you could remove kitchen cupboard kickboards! I must start making a to do list...

Love doing this, and the dishwasher, and sink unblocker stuff.

Also having to hoover our headboard as it is a velvet effect sleigh bed.

DH and I are just laughing at what our lives have come to... if this is what we have to entertain ourselves with!
