Connecting flights...over night with luggage!

Just wondered if anyone had experience of connecting flights a day apart and what would happen with luggage?

BA have a good deal with flights from Newcastle to LHR then the next morning LGW to MCO, same coming back.

I know normally, luggage goes on without having to collect but is that the case when it's the next day? Would not really fancy collecting 6 cases at LHR and trying to get LGW!

This is a 'just incase' idea for if our may 25th flights don't go ahead!

If I have read this correctly and you are flying into LHR and out of LGW then you will have to transfer your luggage yourself.

If you have to change airports you will have to collect your luggage and take it with you. We used a car service and they put the cases in the car. We had them on a trolley just like when you arrive in the USA and took them out to the car.

With an airport change you have to do this even if it’s the same day.

Would you consider ncl jfk Orlando. Or NCl Atlanta Orlando. We did this and felt it was easier than changing airports.

We have had great prices on BA connecting flights. When are you looking for, as in 2022 I think there are direct options from LHR to MCO which will make life easier.

You don't say what possible new dates you are looking at but you can do NCL-LHR-MCO on the same day and return for not a lot extra - depends on availability on your new journey. No problem with transferring to Gatwick in either direction - no overnight hotel etc. Don't know how practical it wouldbe for you.

If May 25th doesn't come off then we will be looking at October 24th or there abouts, we are a party of 6cand kids are getting older so it's bumping prices up (keep telling them to stop growing but they're not listening!)
