luggage allowance

Flying with Virgin TOMORROW! 2 adults and 3 kids. Have managed to pack only 2 large suitcases. Haven't weighed them but they do feel heavy. With the luggage allowance, does it mean we can add all 5 allowances up and just use 2 cases? If you know what I mean? ! Or do we need to spread over more cases?

I think each case can only weigh a maximum of 23kg.

Thanks, have just weighed them (as best we can) and think they are about 22kg each.

I might borrow a third and split things up a bit.

I think that's a wise decision. They have scales at McCoy on way home to check at virgin desk

we're planning on taking out one suitcase packed inside another so we have extra space for the flight home.

Although with the exchange rate as bad as it is perhaps we won't be buying too much this time

Why don’t just take 5 cases?

Haha good question! I think it would be tricky with the kids dragging a case each, as well as their hand luggage bags, but I hear what you're saying! Maybe the way forward in the future.
