First night of MNSSHP

I’ve read the first night it’s really busy but this is the only night we can go. My husband thinks it’s a bit of a waste as the kids are 16 and 15. They’re not really keep on candy and they’re not that interested in meeting characters. I just think they’ll like it once they get there but I don’t want to waste my time if it’s ridiculously busy. £300 does seem like a lot of money when we already have Disney tickets

It will be ridiculously busy, it is every night isn’t it? I went around 10th September last year and it was mobbed, if it is even busier than that on the first night, I would definitely not be going.

We went first night in 2018 (only night we could go). It was really busy (a sold out party night), but we still had a fantastic time. We will be going again this year, but think it's the 2nd or 3rd party this time. Would still go even if we could only go on the first night as we had such fun - we even met Tim Tracker, as all the vloggers were in that night.

We’ve never been and can only do the first night. I’ve bought tickets as I don’t know if (when ) we’ll be going back again and don’t want to get home and regret missing the chance.

We also went on the first night in 2018 and loved it. It was our only Disney park as we were having a non Disney holiday. We went on a lot of rides - buzz, splash mountain, pirates, space mountain, speedway, little mermaid, haunted mansion as well as seeing the Sanderson show, parade, fireworks and getting lots of candy. We were there from 4pm until closing. My children were 17, 13 and 8 at the time and all really enjoyed it. We are going again this year as well.

We did the first party last year, because we had no choice. It was very, very crowded. However, the parade alone was worth it, in our opinion, and we met some of our favorite bloggers. We did not get any candy at all because the lines were just too long, but we did line up for the rides that had special Halloween layovers. Nor did we get in line for any of the characters. Do I regret doing it? No. Are there better ways to spend $300? Probably yes.

Weve been a few times and are going again this year. I love it, but would never go on the first night again. By 6pm, an hour before the party even started, the lines for some of the special characters were already three hours long.

The first night is also a media night with just about all the vloggers on Disney's media list getting free tickets hence why they are now very busy.

If they are not interested in candy or characters I don't think it would be worth it.
£300 for a parade, fireworks and few modified rides I think I would pass.
It will also be absolutely packed on the first night.

Any idea what the second party will be like? Not sure I’d want to go to the first given the crowds although it might be a chance to meet Tim Tracker! Haha
