Buying a new car
Hi
My DS19 is looking to buy a new car and is going to a dealership later on. Do you think there’s any way to haggle on the price ? If so what’s the best way to go about it. Thanks 😊

haggling is now hard... especially if car is seen on autotrader. Autotrader shows you goodm price, low price, high etc... but I would still risk it... i always ask is that best price? if say yes...id say ok and walk away... and continue to kind of look... but always get a rough idea on prices on autotrader. Also get car reg and get valuation on internet...autotrader also does a value my car.

DH had the car valued and it’s nearly £2000 less. It’s from a BMW dealership and we’re in Scotland where there not long opened back up. I was hoping that there still quiet and looking to get a sale

Valuations is nearly 2000 less? So valuation showed price as dealership and private?
Well in that case id use it a ball part figure. Also be prepared to walk away... no matter how good car looks. When im looking dont always go with first car seen... |

I used a website called carwow where dealers send you their best price. I absolutely hate any sort of haggling so I liked this as I knew where I stood when I went to the garage.

OP. What car and engine size/type please?
I always now buy BMW's and so does my Son and Daughter. My current X3 I got for over £17K off list price. Mind you it was pre registered and had under 10 miles on the clock.
