What is your favourite part of a holiday?
and you can only pick one thing!
Mine is sitting on a plane when the engines of the plane properly roar and it starts to accelerate really fast down the runway before take off... NB. this is only applicable on the outgoing journey! |

Oooh this is hard !
But possibly the minute the work auto reply goes on, load up the car & head off to the airport hotel - really get into the holiday spirit then ! Just knowing you’ve got 2/3 weeks of pure fun & eating ahead of you ! Edited at 07:19 PM. |

I do enjoy an airport breakfast, in fact I really enjoy being in the busy airport (again this applies more to the journey out) rather than in a lounge, but I don't really relax until we've checked into our hotel.

Love all the build up and travel.
But when the fridge is full in the OKW villa, I've grabbed a beer and sit on the balcony I raise the bottle and say " happy holidays!"😊 |

I hate travel days, wherever I am going.
Not a lover of flying all times, plus then car hire (which we always do) isn’t hard but my holiday hasn’t started yet, but it’s nearly there. So for me it’s getting to our accommodation, wherever it is. Dumping bags, travel done. Holiday is now officially starting. |

It's a close tie between: -
After getting all the travelling out of the way, I love settling into the room/villa and exploring the resort. And (if we're talking Orlando holiday): - First morning first entry into a Disney park. Nice thread. Good to think about that for a moment.

Planning the itinerary for a WDW holiday. All the park days, fps, restaurants, shopping days and pool days are colour coded on my plan, just love it!

I love that moment when you're up in the air, the flight is cruising, they bring the drinks round and you settle in for a film, a snooze and some grub, and realise that you have no contact with the outside world for 9 hours! Utter bliss!
I also love that moment when you get to your first accommodation, which for us is usually by the beach, look at the view and take a deep breathe at the fresh air, and it kicks in that yep, we're in Florida now. CANNOT wait for that feeling!

This is not the same for all holidays but when we went to Florida in 2017 it was seeing the Disney World sign whilst on the way to the hotel in the Magical Express. I had always wanted to go to WDW and that really made me feel ‘wow, I’m here!’.
