Gosh, this thread is giving me all the feels

For me it is a tie between the night before, when everything is packed and the excitement is high. We usually have some prosecco and a takeaway. Tied with the first morning when you wake up early, the sun comes up and you realise you are finally there.

I also like the feeling that someone else mentioned, when they turn off the seatbelt signs on the flight, serve drinks and you can sit back and relax. I’m not a fan of flying and I have young children so there isn’t much relaxing, but I still quite like that bit .

I love the excitement of travel day, but I think my favourite part of a holiday is when you wake up on the first morning.
You are there safely, unpacked with everything ahead of you to enjoy.

This is gooooood, but sooo hard to answer. I have many parts of a holiday which I really like... But, to pick just one... well I think that would have to be...
That moment when you've checked in/dropped off your bags at the airport and you're through security, you're then presented with the freedom of the airside area, breakfast, duty free... I feel like a weight has been lifted at that point. Its pretty much the first time after all the efforts (enjoyable by the way) of planning and preparation that I feel like I can relax.
Its definitely at that point that it's officially holiday time...

Its that moment the plane turns and faces the runway for me too ...then the silence. The 'anticipation' from the fellow passengers...the sounds of a toddler in the distance settling down followed by that huge roar of those engines and it thunders down the tarmac ending with that feeling of weightlessness as the plane becomes airborne. WOW! Love it. It must be so incredible being the pilot on their first ever flight.

(Can you tell my favourite rides are Soarin' and Avatar)

Since I can remember I've played "Summer Holiday" when we set off to the Airport. Kids would say "Daaaad! No!"
Still do it.😊

Its the day I start relaxing. It can vary. After all the build up, the planning it should be when we get to the airport. However it tends to be a few days into the holiday when my brain finally clicks over to holiday.

I love the moment we set off to the airport usually the night before . The first plane I see the nearer we get is magical if we are going to Disney . Seeing a Virgin plane no matter where it’s going makes me think of going to Disney ..

OMG, that's my worst moment! My best is when the plane comes to a standstill and I know I have the whole holiday ahead of me and won't have to worry about the flight for another 2 weeks!
