Mobile Practicing for Florida ...

Decided to brave it and do a tip run... I arrived at 11.41 and I still haven’t reached the gate 😱... 2 cars to go ... and then I’m in ... A 2 hour wait ... and nowhere near as good as RipRideRocket or Hagrids Motorcycle Adventure ... and the worst thing is I’ve got another 1 or 2 trips to do 😂😂😂

Sorry, I dont understand so many peoples urges to queue for things. Corona has really made people want to queue for things, maybe people have enjoyed queuing in the sun. Even people queuing for 2 hours for a burger, why?

We have neighbours that keep going to the shops first thing on Saturday or Sunday and spend about 1-2 queuing to get in. Where as we work out when to go, aiming for off peak times, just like practising for Disney.

examples like, B&Q about 1-2 hours before closing. Everyone else goes early to get things they want for that day. Depending on where you live, you can work out off peak times for most supermarkets.

For the whole lockdown, the longest we have queued is 10 minutes, usually we walk straight in and we live in the city.

Rubbish dumps are the same, think wisely and you wont queue.

If you stay in the "Tip Hotel" do you get front line access to the tip, can you get it for two days or just the check-in day?

Unfortunately there is no off peak times... and no, it’s not something i would choose to do...
Like you I pick my times to shop and if there’s too much of a queue I give it a miss...
This needed to be done as it’s blocking the drive way so a necessary evil 😬

Hahaha ... it’s a lovely area certainly... a leafy tree lined road leading to a country park ...
I wish I did get ‘front line access’ as I’ve got to go again soon 🙄😬😬

Fife council have a "fastpass" system, book your day and time online, give them your vehicle details etc.
On arrival registration checked off on staff entry list, tell other staff your contents, restricted to bin contents eg landfill, plastic, paper and garden, go where directed, offload car boot contents and then leave.
Ten minutes slot allocated, in and out in less.
Good system.

Wow 2 hours! I've been the last two Sundays and waited no more than 5 minutes each time. Staff said Sunday is their "quiet day" but there is also a postcode system in place which means I could only visit Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays which probably helps keep the numbers down.

I have family in Kent and they have had to book a slot 3 weeks in advance to visit their local tip.
