Living in the North, I can get to DLP faster than I can get to Dartford. Dartford is a 6 hour drive, then negotiate the local traffic. DLP is a 1 hour drive to airport, 2 hour wait, 1.5 hour flight and 40min uber.

Plus its cheaper to fly and uber than get 3 trains and local taxi.

Because of our crazy train system and pricing DLP will remain our shorthaul theme park break.

In the same way that, say, Alton Towers is mildly disappointing compared to Walt Disney World, I suspect that this new theme park complex will be the same. Assuming it ever gets built.

I suppose it might be worth visiting for a day if you're in the area.

(BTW, I like and enjoy a day at Alton Towers. But even I agree it's not as good as WDW).

Idea, land bought, investors. Mean while people behind it pay themselves huge sums of money. Then eventually the money runs out and nothing happens. The investors lose their money.
