I lost my dear Mum 4 months ago and while she had health issues for many years it is still quite raw and I have tears in my eye's reading these posts.
As another poster said you will be on a rollercoaster over the next few days/weeks/months and this is perfectly natural. Please look after yourself, allow yourself to grieve and let others take on some of the burden of the things you have to do. I tried to put on a brave face for everyone and look after others while dealing with the paperwork, house sale etc and I realise now that this was a mistake as never really took time to grieve properly. Remember the good times and cherish the memories anytime you are feeling down, smile at photos and share them with your family. Sending cyber hugs a |

There is no grief without Love Amy. Every tear you shed shows how much love you have for your Mum. You will get through it but for now, just one day at a time ❤️

So very sorry for your loss. I lost my father 6 years and when it first happened which was unexpected ( he was only 69) I cried and it took me ages to get to grips he was no longer here . I don’t feel the pangs of pain that I did but I still get sad and I think of him everyday and it’s missing him and not being able to talk to him that I still find hard .
Give yourself time t o find your own level of coping xx |

So sorry to hear of your similar loss - My mum was just 70 and so very fit until just a couple of years ago (much fitter than many half her age), she had the disease for over four years but it was only really in the last two years when it took its toll - a cruel, cruel, relatively unknown disease, but so devastating to those who suffer with it. 😢
