To all of those that have said they hoped the day went as well as could be expected, you have no idea what that means to me..

Unfortunately in the last few years of her life my sister was successfully “befriended” by some people who started to claim they were her family. They partially convinced hospital staff and even a solicitor for a little while. Needless to say they are financially motivated. We tried to put processes to keep things private but it was clear the hospital staff doubted us and at the same time we were being harassed and threatened by these people.

All we wanted yesterday was peace. The funeral director was brilliant and helped us to hold a private ceremony in a secret and obscure location. It has been the most worrying and surreal time of my life dealing with this over the last few months.

But we did it and we got the peaceful and beautiful service that we wanted and my sister deserved. So yes the day went as well as I had hoped. 💕
