We got married in Southport in a place called Meols Hall Tithe barn. It was a beautiful setting. My SIL was married at Peckforton castle last year, that was lovely.

Thanks Xx
When I and EX got married back in 1997 we got married at the Armathwaite hall in the northern lake district. I can not recommend this place enough it is a wonderful location and the staff are amazing. I have been there several times since and I can safely say it's the only hotel in the UK I choose to stay at.

I hope the planning goes well and is stress free!

Oooh I love good wedding venue thread! Some of these locations are stunning! Everyone totally assumed we'd go to Orlando for ours but because we had elderly relatives who really wanted to be there we decided a Disneymoon would be best. But we still wanted somewhere sunny and felt like abroad so we got married at Highcliffe castle in Dorset.
We had a small morning wedding at the castle and then a larger evening reception at the Haven hotel in Sandbanks which was right on the seafront and had its own beach. Was such a lovely day and so hot!

This is the castle:

And this is the Haven (it's the building bottom right on the corner) I love this view!

Us on their beach:

Exciting times you planning! Enjoy it so much.

Great thread.

We got married at a small local Country Estate, we had our ceremony and meal with 50 guests within the hotel then an evening reception for 200 in their permanent Marquee at night.

enterkine/weddings

I loved their Honeymoon Suite, my husband called it "The Hobbit Hut"

My brother and sister-in-law got married in the Palm House in Sefton Park in Liverpool.

It was an absolutely beautiful venue and the photos are spectacular, with some lovely ones taken from a walkway high up in the roof, looking straight down on everything below. The food was a very classy barbecue, cooked outside.

Well... we done something slightly different...!

We drove from Edinburgh down to Gretna Green, had the ceremony and went for a meal in the hotel opposite, lovely it was too

Then drove back up and had family / friends round to ours... beautiful sunny day so spent the afternoon in the garden

So our first dance was technically a bounce on the trampoline..!..which the kids thought was hilarious
