New Dining Credits and Signatures

Am I right in thinking that you can’t use credits at the signature restaurants?

I couldn’t see the Flying Fish on the list, although Narcoosees was which I think is a signature?

Flying Fish has maybe been missed off as it's still closed.

As above, the list only had open restaurants when I last looked at it. I would be very surprised if any Disney owned restaurant is not on the final list.

I'm not up to date with the latest on dining credits (with the "new" in the title I'm not sure if things have changed) - but it used to be that Signatures were 2 dining credits + tip etc (instead of 1 for non-signature TS).

It’s a very different system now. You get a set amount of dining credits per room. These are given a dollar value. For example in a Value you get $36 per night per room. It’s not much but better than nothing. You spend it like a gift card. You get a lump sum of say 14 nights at $36 so $504 in credits. Spend it how you like at participating places. You get more at moderate and more at a deluxe.

Wow that is indeed different! I guess the upside of this is that you get more flexibility with how you use the dining credits?

Yes, the credit this time is just like cash, so can be used for any food and drink, and can even be used for paying tips.

I’ve been playing with a few dining options today to work out roughly how long $504 dining credit plus $200 gift card will last us. I can get to day 6 for our little family of 3 before paying OOP. This includes 2 character meals and a meal at Sanaa, with the rest a combination of brekkie at ASMo food court and some counter service options in parks. Haven’t incorporated extras like tax/tips in that though. But with some good planning I reckon I can make my budget work well with the dining credit offer.

We have two rooms so we get $1008 plus 2 giftcards so over 14 nights it’s about $100 per day for 4. I’m planning on just using these credits and giftcards on q/s and snacks. Table service I’m going to do separately
