School holiday dates for summer 2022 question

We want to book a holiday for ourselves for next summer. Our DGS who is living with us will be in year 11 and sitting GCSE exams. I think year 11 finish school sooner than the other pupils and I would dearly like to know when it will be. Can anyone help please?

My DD is sitting her GCSE's next year, as far as I know, they usually end towards the end of June, as the exams are over a 5 week period (with the May half term in the middle) I would say you would be safe to go away in the first week of July, but they may have a prom during that time, but not sure when they usually do this!

The best thing to do would be to phone his school. They usually have the dates pencilled in for things not already on available school calendars.

We're in Wales...

I asked DD's school the same question and was told she needs to be available until the end of June...

I also googled it and found that the child needs to be available to attend school until the last Friday in June...

I think the last Friday in June is the date they can technically leave school. However, I’d check with the school.
