Do flights and villas fill up quickly?
I've said all along don't really fancy putting a deposit down on anything and would rather pay everything off in full (I'm a huge worrier, and would be really gutted if something happened and we couldn't go) so would rather just pay and its all done and dusted.
Anyway, we've seen a dibb villa and was wondering if they get booked up quickly? Also the flights? We're planning on going in Sept 2012 (fingers crossed) and probably couldn't afford to book everything until Oct/Nov time? Thank you -x- |

Yes villas get booked up very quickly. I booked a Dibb Villa for May 2011 in June this year & 2 of the 3 villas the owners have were fully booked and we were lucky to get the dates on the other one.
Flights are a little more difficult to predict but generally they do go pretty quick. Limited economy seats on our flight next year now, only the higher fare codes are available. Infact we wanted to get a seat for our daughter instead of having her on our lap, within the space of 2 days her flight went from an extra £376 to an extra £420 because lower fare codes sold out. |

September isnt a busy month, however if you know what villa you want book it. You can secure it for usually a reasonable deposit and the final balane is usually payable a couple of months before you go.Flights usually come out around 330 days before departure and again can be secured with a deposit rather than the full amount if you book with the right people. Some (expedia) take the full amount so shop around.

Get your flights and then your Villa. You may not get a Dibb Villa, but Olrando is saturated with Villa Communities so there will always be something available. Flights are limited though

You will always find a villa BUT you will not find one of the best villas still available at the last minute. Depends how important your villa will be to you and the other guests. We always try to be as accommodating as possible. We allow guests a few days flexibility at the beginning and end of their proposed stay until flights are available to choose. Only if another booking comes along do we then request final dates. If you are nervous about the reliability/honesty of villa owners then speak to potential owners and ask to be able to speak to a previous guest if necessasry. Ask if they have any reviews you can read. Good luck.

If you do have a special villa in mind you should think of putting a deposit down to hold your dates, you can usually pay the balance off any time - you don't have to wait until 8 weeks before you go.

The best villas go very quickly, so IMHO it is worth getting hold of one already and securing it with a deposit.
You can always hang on until the last moment, but the selection will not be there.
