Purchased a bag of Florette washed and ready to eat salad and I always wash them again, thank goodness I did as there was a huge moth in it.

Think I’m gonna bin it. I keep thinking about it.
If it makes you feel any better those videos are coming out of America, who don't have the same controls on produce that we do here. I haven't seen any with maggots but some with small black bugs. Any follow up video from the UK, the water stays clean!

My uncle ate a peach once and left the stone on the counter. He kept hearing a strange clicking noise then the stone of the peach cracked open and this huge winged insect unfurled itself and flew out.He threw up in the kitchen sink and hasn’t eaten a peach in 20 years 😳😳😳

That scene from ‘The Lost Boys’ I love rice and Noodles, but have a mental battle every time I eat either of them!

I get around that by thinking that it would only happen if they are in the little boxes they eat out of!

For the flour, I’ll share a tip - freeze it! We’ve never had a problem since.

What happens when you freeze flour? Does the moisture not make it go soggy?

No, not at all - just cold flour but it’s still floury!

A big fat maggots crawled out of my bowl of Rice Krispies - apparently the factory had an infestation. I would add this was a very long time ago.
On the Chinese take-away theme, my husband found part of a pen (complete with chewed end) in his curry.

I can’t stand the specks of blood in eggs. Comes from investigating fertilised eggs in Biology over 30 years ago.
