They've put rubber strips on the bottom of the room doors now to seal the gap, it's worked wonders - on our last trip the noise was unnoticeable and we were right above Chef Mickey's

Ive not stayed at either but visited both for meals etc. The location of the Contemporary is perfect but the hotel just seems a bit sterile and you could be anywhere. For not much more you can stay at The Grand Floridian with the same perfect location.

I’d disagree but I get the appeal of the GF. When we stayed at the contemporary The GF room we looked at was an outer building with no view which was more expensive than a theme park view at the contemporary. My Mil was keen for the Grand but we sold her on the contemporary and she adored staying there.

Christmas Eve fireworks with the music in the room. Amazing.
