BA have changed their BWC policy - Future Travel Voucer is now April 2023

Just a heads up BA have changed some parts of their Book With Confidence policy - BWC - am just trying to find out the details.

Added ba.com link britishairways/en-gb...st-information

Changing your booking
You can change the dates and destination of your booking without incurring a change fee, although you will need to pay any difference in price (applies to bookings made on or after 3 March 2020).

Cancelling your booking
If you decide you no longer want to travel, you can cancel your booking and we’ll give you a voucher to the same value for a future booking (applies to bookings made on or after 3 March 2020).

BA have omitted the following phrase "onwards for journeys that are due to have been completed by 31 August 2021" from the above paragraphs for changing/cancelling your booking.

The changes to the FTV was updated on the BA website at 1500hours today - great news for everyone. Will update the end of this thread now. The FAQ section has full information.

Great news, thanks for the update Stanleycamel.

A step in the right direction but I suspect until the FTV deadline is extended it won't attract too many new bookings. Watching with interest!

Silly question time... the FTV applies if you choose to cancel right.

But if you only move your dates and not the destination and don't cancel is there a limit on the number of date changes?

Assuming you are determined to fly to the same destination does it make sense to just keep moving the dates out? Can't quite believe BA would allow this. VA were allowing 2 changes max. Keen to see if anyone knows the answer to that one? Seems like a way around the FTV deadline.

Good news, just hoping I don't need to use this for the September trip. Definitely gives a bit of confidence in BA though ☺

Another good post Stanley.

They quickly need to extend the April 2022 date. They seem to have scraped the travel by date to encourage bookings later in the year including Christmas, but a few months to use the voucher is probably useless for a lot of those people.

They need to extend the use by date to the end of 2022.

I booked my BA flights with AA on a codeshare as they don’t limit number of changes , just as well the number of changes I’ve made so far .

Do AA charge for economy seat selection? Im sure I had read that they don't charge for most economy seats except the usual premium exit row seats.

I have been watching BA ticketed AA operated flights so thinking this could be good if true.

Seat selection on AA operated flights is free and can be booked as early as you like , saves quite a chunk of change .

Nice post. I was due to return to the U.K. on 02 Sept, so this is great news for me.

Thankyou, Mr Camel.

Does that include AA operated flights sold via BA.com?
