Cervical smear
Good evening ladies
Please book in for your overdue tests, our docs started again two weeks ago. I had my cervical smear last Thursday and got my results today! I can't believe how quick it was, thankfully negative. I know they are not nice but they are over quickly and it can save your life. I preferred it this time as my nurse had a mask and face shield on so couldn't see her 😂 Sas x

Excellent advice. I was very lucky as my surgery continued to do routine smears. So strange that GP’s have differed.

I had mine on Tuesday, still waiting for the results. I had my reminder letter in January and by the time I had some free time to get it done we went into lockdown. I just assumed they stopped doing them, but I then got another letter in July and got one booked. The nurse did say they stopped doing them from March to May. Anyway better slightly late than never!

I’ve been trying to get an appointment for a month now as they stopped at my surgery, been told to call back this week as they should have released September dates then.

I luckily had mine just before lockdown which came back negative. I think it is very hit and miss with doctors surgeries doing them even now.

Brilliant advice. Twice I’ve had pre cancerous cells removed. Yes it a bit uncomfortable but only lasts for a few minutes and could save your life.

I had mine during the lockdown-rang when I got the letter expecting them to say they weren't doing them and I went in the next day and got a negative result 5 days later. Surgery was empty.

My Drs just started appointments again, and as I missed mine during lockdown I rang and have one on the 27th! 🤞
