Discovery cove with a 3 year old

We are planning to do discovery cove on our next trip in November, has any of you been with a non-swimmer? How does it work? Does someone stay on the side and do the swim separate? It would be me, my wife and my 2 sons who will be 7 & 3

Thanks

We are going with a 3 year old who is doing the non swim option along with me. We are hoping we can watch the rest of the group swim from the beach area. Not sure how it would work if all the adults wanted to swim. I would imagine that the adults would need to swim in different time slots so that one of you can stay with 3 year old.

Hello, my daughter 7, last year done the swim with my husband, it was her first time, while I waited and watched on with my then 10month old, you get a really good view from the sand and in certain parts quiet close to shore, one adult would have to swim at a time so no child is left unattended. If this is what you choose then discovery will arrange separate swim times for the adults, I did however notice that another family with the same situation as mine still managed to have a full family photo with the dolphin, one of the adults stood holding the younger child in the shallow area. We have also booked to do discovery cove again this year my daughter now 8 and my son now 2. I'm going to ask if we can have a family photo, worst they can say is no. My daughter absolutely loved the experience, discovery cove is such a relaxing place even with young children it's always our favourite day!

We went with our 8 month old back in 2014 and as long as you ask whilst in the cabana, going through the forms etc, they are more than happy for you to have a photo together. They will choose the right dolphin for your group based on this.
Have fun!

We are visiting in July and my daughter is 4. We are in a family group of 8 so we are going to split up so she will be looked after and when myself and husband swim she is going to get in at the end so we can have a family photo. I emailed them and they confirmed she can do it and to just ask the trainer when we go to do it.
