I tried to use Lyft once. I ordered the car, the app said it had arrived but I couldn't see it. The app then said to ring the driver - I did so and got voicemail so I left a message saying who I was and where I was. He didn't appear or ring me back. I then got charged for a no show. I contacted them, told them what had happened and they refunded me the no show charge. I didn't bother with them again. I used Uber without any problems.

Minnie Vans are horrendously expensive. And my one experience of Lyft has put me off it - Uber all the way for me.

I honestly don't understand the Minnie vans ... to me you are paying double for a decorated car ... and you can't even see the decoration when inside !

I had a similar experience with an Uber not showing ... in Nottingham . It didn't put me off as it was quickly sorted. I tend to favour Lyft in the US as I prefer their app.

Most lyft drivers are also on uber. Chances are you will get the same service type of car etc.

Lyft often send out discounts nrver had one off uber.

As already said, a lot of drivers work for both and both company logos are displayed in the window.

We have used them both quite a lot on Vegas holidays, and both have been excellent.
Lyft has generally been a little bit cheaper, but Uber has more checks on drivers, so feels like they are more reliable.

You really need to use both, and get sign up discounts for both.

I agree wholeheartedly. OK they're cute but that's it. I definitely would not spend that much money.
