Our first trip to nyc was end of feb and it was cold but with bright blue skies, was lovely!
I remember on our first morning it looked so sunny out that we didn’t take coats and as soon as we stepped outside we had to turn around and go straight back in again 😆 Lovely time to visit. |

We were there in Feb 2010. We fly in on the Wednesday I think and we were on the ferry the next day going to the sol and it started snowing, on the Friday we woke to quite deep snow. The airport closed and I remember ds 13 walking in snow up to his knees in central park. It was quite cold but we like to go to New Hampshire ski ing so we loved it.

I’ve been 3 times in February, twice it was as cold as you might think, the third time it was unseasonably warm! We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge in t-shirts! There were people wearing shorts! This was very unusual though!

We went in 2019 mid feb, clear blue skies and cold, but not as bad as expected. On out last day it snowed, central park looked beautiful but snow turned slushy but was cleared very quickly. I would go again at that time.

I think you went similar time to us. Feb half term 2019. It was fairly pleasant until our last day when it snowed. We were then stuck sat on the plane on the tarmac for 5 hours. Worst flight of my life !
I would still go at that time again though. It was a wonderful trip, sun, clear blue skies. Just go prepared, thermals, handwarmers ( we didn’t need them and gave them to a homeless man), lots of layered clothing rather than thick jumpers and a good pair of walking boots. |

Yes we were, i was quite surprised how mild it was! Didnt need my thermals or hand warmers and felt a bit stupid arriving in Orlando in winter coat and snow boots!

Bitingly cold and more than likely it will snow, but it will still be lovely.
If you can stand the cold (-14 isn't unheard of in Feb). The average temp for NYC in Feb is max 6 and min -2 If won't be warm, probably warmer in the UK but it is still NYC |

Obviously with the threat of snow just be prepared your flight me be diverted or cancelled. Only happened to me once flying into NYC (from Toronto) but that was in February. Ended up getting there two days later than planned.
