Any Avon reps on here? Question for you

I have placed an order with a rep and usually she leaves the goods and I transfer the money the same night.

On this order there is something I don't want to keep and will be returning it to her. I have just told her this via a text message and she has told me that I will have to pay for the whole order and wait for a refund when the next order arrives and thats how Avon does it.

Is this right?

If I take an item back to a shop I get a refund instantly. If she takes my item back and returns it I will be waiting about 4 weeks

I used to do avon so i think its the same

The way it works is she has to pay for this order within so many days of receiving it & then can return items & get refunded herself.
I guess she doesnt want to be out of pocket for the item so close to xmas so doesnt want to wait for the refund so is making you wait instead.

Does that make sense?

What happens if between this order being refunded she decides not to bother doing Avon anymore?

Unfortunately you would then be a tad stuck although im sure if you went direct to customer services they may be able to help you but would probably need all her rep details & could help somehow.

Whenever I do an order with my rep, I get the stuff then pay for what I keep and return what I don't want, she has never asked me for the money first

That was the same for me. My rep then gave it up so joe I order directly online.

I always pay for my order when the rep delivers it. There was only 1 time I needed to return something, I text the rep, she came to collect it and gave me the money back there and then, no hassle.
