Why not book for 2022 at this point?

If I understand correctly Disney will let you move or cancel at no cost, deposit only around £200, 3% cash back through Quidco and can add on any offers as and when they come up, again for no charge. So in the best case scenario by booking early for 2022 you have something to look forward to, you get the hotel you want with perhaps an added offer in the future, worst case you don’t go through with it and cancel to get your £200 back which has basically been covered by Quidco anyway. Or am I missing something (wouldn’t be the first time! )?

In the past it wasn’t a given if you booked directly with Disney that you could add offers. It always said in the t and c’s new bookings only. People have had luck and others haven’t having to amend at cost. I know people have said Disney will add offers if they come but not seen that anywhere officially other what some CM’s have said. It may well be the case and as it’s free cancellation there’s no harm in cancelling if they won’t add offers and then you can rebook. Personally I’m waiting mainly to see if Port Orleans is added and if there is free dining as I probably wouldn’t stay onsite without.

I don’t really see the point. But then if there are no offers I would probably look at one of the Disney Springs area hotels or Swan/Dolphin. If I had my heart set on a specific resort then I suppose I might book.

We're the same, hoping to go in July next year but waiting to see if DDP is available, even if its paid for as we like the stress-free/all inclusive esque feeling it gives!

I'd be worried that I wouldn't get the deposit back. I am very tempted though. But I'm also mindful that the more people that book, the less likely it is that they will even introduce any offers because they'll think they don't need the incentive...

Thing is, we might not book with Disney direct if they release free dining. Orlando Attractions were cheaper for us last time, even taking into account cashback. So, it becomes a bit pointless... if you see what I mean.

I love the way there are so many different types of people on here. We found DDP the opposite - it was more stressful having to plan to that level of detail months in advance and then to have to be somewhere at a specific time while on holiday.

I'm a high level planner but that level of detail was a step too far for me.

I love being able to plan that out so far in advance. The restaurants are just so worth it

The prices are ridiculous (i.e. rack rate). No way would I pay £140 a night to stay at All stars based on a 14 night stay with no benefits
