What can I do? Exercise wise

I had it my head that gyms would open mid March, yeah I know naive but it was all I was looking forward to. Now with Nicola saying gyms won’t open before April 26th (at least that’s what I understand), I’m feeling disheartened.

I just want to go to the gym. I’ve just looked into hiring equipment for a couple months but they either don’t deliver to Scotland or they have nothing available.

My dad has a fancy bike thing that converts a bike into an exercise bike but I’m way too heavy for that (like 60kgs too heavy) so that’s a no go.

Anyone got any ideas what I can do. Needs to be cheap as I only want to use it till the gyms open.

I’m not particularly into dvds but something more interactive might work.

I have a switch and an Xbox one. And May have an old Xbox 360 with Kinect somewhere.

Any ideas?

If you've got a Switch you could get the Ring Fit or how about trying a couch to 5K? I'd never ran in my life, I get puffed climbing stairs but I started one back in 2018 and never looked back. There's a great app called One You Couch to 5K that's a 9 week course and really works.

Hi I've been doing workouts from YouTube, specifically ones on Popsugar and also this lady here: ... /UCpi...6t47XO0R_KY4WQ

I got a cheap set of dumbbells and do her beginner workouts and am really enjoying them.

Good luck with finding something that suits you!

Does it need to be something indoors? Have a look at resistance bands workouts. You can buy a set really cheap online and get a great workout from them.

We love the ring fit adventure for the switch. Lots of mini games, workouts as well as the actual adventure game.

I really enjoy the Les Mills On Demand. I was a regular gym goer but I have purchased a year’s membership and probably won’t renew my gym membership as I am enjoying this.

There is plenty of content on there, for all abilities

If you live anywhere near Montrose (I noticed your Aberdeenshire) one of the gyms here have created an outdoor gym area & you can book your space in advance.

The Peloton app is £13 a month, with a one month free trial, and has cardio and strength classes (Hiit, dance, barre, Pilates, yoga, resistance bands, weights) as well as guided audio walks and runs.
