Single person allowance

Hi all, we are staying onsite in October for 2 weeks, will mostly eat onsite, 2A 2C, we have another adult(25) coming with us and to save the extra hassle has asked to give us an amount to pay for her meals to save having to pay separately all the time. Can anyone suggest how much I should suggest for 1 person, be a couple of character breakfasts, and mostly quick service meals over table service, she will buy all her own snacks etc just main meals this way. Any suggestions welcome 😊

My suggestion would be get a revolut card and load money on and it's super easy for her to just transfer money between you on the app. Ypu could pay the bill with it and she can just transfer ypu the funds afterwards from her card. We did this the other year when me and hubby went with a friend and it was great. That way you don't have the awkwardness of you giving a figure she may think is too much or you being out of pocket.

I can’t give you an answer but believe the Allears site has all the WDW dining menus with prices.
You & friend could have a look at where & what you think you’d like to eat & work it out from that?

Depends how many meals a day you're eating? 3 meals? 2 meals and snacks? or 1 meal and loads of snacks?

So on the basis that QS is around $14-17 each with a soft drink give or take depending on what she wants.

Character breakfast... I believe something like the Garden Grill character breakfast is $50-60? I think Crystal Palace is a bit cheaper at like $45?

So really depends on how many meals she will be eating per day.

Seems like more hassle to mess around sending money over apps when you're there, and can see the sense in her just wanting to give you say $600 this side to cover there or thereabouts 2 meals a day, plus 2 character breakfasts.

Thanks all, we will probably eat 3 meals a day most days, maybe only a snack for breakfast some days. Its my partners adult daughter so like Mark above said transferring after every meal we would like to avoid. We don't mind being a few dollars either way out understand it wouldn't be exact, just something to work to assuming she buys her snacks, sovinears and shipping etc herself, there are 8 of us going in total so just trying to avoid splitting bills a a lot of ways. Appreciate your advice

WDW has classified restaurants by $ price bucket, QS meals are classified as under $15. So perhaps count up number of meals and allow $15 per meal including drink, as sometimes the meal will be more like $12 but the drink will bring up to $15. Character dining will be pre planned and I think all are fixed priced, so you can sort that out accurately when you have decided which ones you will go to.

We all have Monzo and created a pot for meals, we took it in turns to pay and at the end it worked out who owed/was owed what. It worked really well. That assumed of course that we were all prepared to pay an equal share

When I holiday with my friends and their family (they sort of adopted me years ago) we always have one bill for all of us, and I pay them for the food Ive had, its absolutely no hassle to do this. I just remember the price of what I've ordered and hand over the cash $'s or euros. Think it a bit unfair to estimate what the likely cost will be for all her meals and expect them to pay upfront. Things can change dramatically once you are away. If we've all had more or less the same, give or take a few $'s or euros, split our bill 5 ways and I pay my share. So much easier.

Since she's your partner's daughter and not a friend I'd ask her for $500-600 and let that be that.

Thank again guys, Elmhurst it's not us asking her, she wants to pay it up front so she's sorted and covered.
