How busy is August 2022 going to be?
Do you think it is going to be really busy in August 2022?
The touringplans crowd calculator for this August has gone from medium to very crowded which I understand, but I'm wondering by next August will the pent up demand have gone down a bit? I know the main visitors are from the US and they can already get there so I'm hoping that by next August the crowds will be back to a more normal level. What do you think? |

Ive never once considered how busy somewhere might be or not.
Its very subjective and ultimately means nothing. August is busy anyway. Last 2 weeks are quieter as US kids are back in school. But I wouldnt even try to guess how busy it will be. What would an extra 10K people look like to you? Parks have capacity limits, you can make dining reservations in advance and assuming you hve booked accommodation it doesn't really matter. You will be queuing for rides regardless, you will hit traffic somewhere. But you will be happy you are there and thats all that matters! |

Personally I think the last 2 weeks in August will still be quieter, but perhaps not as quiet as usual. I’m sure there will many Brits (like me!) who have had to cancel last August and this August, that will want to experience the 50th celebrations and will therefore be booked for next year. I agree that maybe the major rush from American visitors may have passed though…. Hopefully!

I am trying to work out the same, having just received the cancellation email for this August's flights. tough call between August and October next year, made all the more difficult by the lack of clarity around FastPass...

On the US boards I read, a lot of people have been cancelling their summer trips this year because of the limited offerings. But these are likely to be a very small minority of the crowds, there's still a big chunk of visitors that just book without much research so won't be aware of the current issues.
I wouldn't expect next year to be quiet as attendance is going up year on year, but I don't think it will be significantly impacted by delayed travel. |

We've booked for the first 2 weeks of August 2022 and expect it to be pretty busy however, we expect it and will plan accordingly to have rest periods/days.
It's personal preference on how busy something is for you, just be sure to account of it in your planning.

August is our only option and we've done it a few times and find it really not that bad. I won't wait longer than 30 mins for a ride and if its busy there's always something you can do.
If your early riser's then the parks are quieter early. I'd also love the busy day guides or Touring plans to give you a rough idea of which parks are busier on certain days. I think next year will be different as Disney will be celebrating the 50th anniversary. |
