Question for anyone who booked hotel and tickets direct with Disney and then has moved/cancelled

I have booked direct with Disney my hotel and park tickets. Due to go 18/12-2/1 this year, however have decided to cancel and move the booking to next Christmas instead. Has anyone done this with Disney and is it easy? I already have a trip booked for next Christmas so would Disney just transfer the balance to that holiday (my holiday for this year is paid in full) or would I have to get a refund to my credit card then pay off the other trip once that’s come through?

I had a holiday fully paid ( obviously couldnt go due to covid), had already rebooked , called Disney and they just moved the whole amount over to the new booking. They did say they could refund me me if I wanted , but I just requested the amount be transferred straight over , the CM did speak to her manager, but came back saying it was not an issue . I had a cancellation invoice and a new invoice a few days later
