Missing emails

I have just returned from 2 days in Dublin, and while there noticed that all my ‘old’ emails sitting in my aol inbox have vanished. They are just ones that I wanted to keep but didn’t have a specific folder for, so just left them in my inbox.
I had wondered if it was just the rubbish WiFi at the hotel and thought they may appear again when I got home, but still empty.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Firstly, I havent heard of anyone using AOL for many many years.
They have a reputation for removing old emails from your Send and Inbox. Nothing you can really do about that

Thanks for your reply.
Some of them were very recent. I just hadn’t dealt with them yet. And I know not many people use it anymore but it’s been my email for years now.

I use AOL too, used it all my online life..used to call it aoHELL

I found them, for some reason they were all in my deleted folder. I have recovered what I want and put them into a separate folder.
