Las Vegas: special occasion restaurant

Hi everyone

Planning for our trip in June. DH and I are celebrating 25 years together this year and would like to book a fine dining experience for the last night of the trip, which we’ll be spending at the Wynn - does anyone have particular recommendations that we could consider?

I’ve looked at the Joel Robuchon restaurants already but having already experienced one of his, would prefer somewhere new to us. DH would not be thrilled about having a formal dress code, but would probably be prepared to do it if pushed

Suggestions would be appreciated, as would your reviews!

Thank you

Ohhhh great dilemma ! So many options in Vegas! Do you have a budget in mind? Do you want to stick to the Wynn or go further?

Happy to go further afield, and fortunate enough that budget is not a huge consideration if the experience seems like we will love it. I’d prefer not to hit 4 figures for the two of us, but that’s it!

We went to Gordon Ramsey's for DS2 wedding meal worth every penny and I will admit I wasn't keen at first we were $250 a head at the final bill excluding tip,

Thanks Gryff. That’s a good shout, our one Ramsay experience to date was the absolutely god awful place he had at the London hotel in NYC. Since more than a decade has passed since then, he may deserve another chance!

As I said I wasn't keen but everyone loved there meal and they spoiled us rotten it might have been the kilts and the wedding dress though
Would be the only reason I'd go back to Vegas to be honest

If you like steak...

We went to Andiamos at the D in September and it was lovely. I though OH would collapse at the price but he said he’d happily pay again.

We don’t drink wine and always think hitting the hard stuff with a meal is a bit inappropriate so we had coke . $250 for a starter (the Caesar salad was amazing) and main so probably not too bad.

Off strip so much cheaper than equivalent restaurants on strip.

I would say Twist (for the view as well as the food) or Picasso. I’ve never found any of Gordon Ramsey’s that good for an intimate meal but would be great for a group (as Gryff suggests).

There are a couple of others I think I would recommend based on reviews but not eaten at them - the two above I have.

I read that as $250 for a starter 😆

Did you go to the GR steak restaurant or Hells Kitchen?

We are going back to Vegas for a trip down memory lane, as we went on our honeymoon! We were less well travelled then

Thank you, I’ll take a look! And I do drink wine so that’ll add to the bill
