Anybody upgraded uk Disney ultimate tkts for annual passes at Disney world?
Hi I was just trying to figure out costings would I need to pay around an extra £1100 ish if we were to do this? I think they can do this at your hotel but I’m not really sure would love to hear from anybody who has done this before, I have done it at universal orlando when we arrived there we only had to pay an extra $16 when we upgraded our uk passes. Thanks

We upgraded our 14 day Ultimate tickets to the 4-park annual pass when we were there a few weeks ago. We did it at Guest Relations in Epcot on our 1st day using our 14 day ticket. The cost to upgrade was $357 each (including tax).
A tip for upgrading. Once you activate your 14 day ticket, check the MDE app as that will quote you a price for upgrading to a 6-park annual pass. For us it quoted $420 + tax to upgrade. As we only wanted the 4-park pass we went to Guest Relations to ask for a quote and were rather surprised that they quoted us more to upgrade to a 4-park pass than the app was offerring for the 6-park pass. Once I showed the CM the price on the app, she went off to speak to her manager and came back with a much better price!

Very interesting! This option of upgrading your tickets through MDE application is new? I don’t remember anyone explained it before. Is it an option that appears automatically in MDE?
Thank you |

Back in January we upgraded our 21 day ultimate for a DVC annual pass (no water parks) and it cost $90. We did it at guest services at Epcot. There have been a few threads on this subject over the last 6 months or so and from dipping in and out of them there seems to be some wild variation in costs depending on where you go.
We worked out the cost of our ticket in $ and knew how much the annual pass cost (don't forget to add the tax!) so had an amount we wouldn't go over and paid a price we were happy with. I get the feeling some people expect to get a great deal by doing it this way (i.e. getting it for way less than they would have done) but as long as the two added together don't cost more than the annual pass would have cost by buying in the first place then I don't think any savings should be expected! Just my opinion of course

Yes, once you've activated your tickets, if you go to the My Tickets section on the MDE app it will tell you the price to upgrade to an annual pass. I'm not sure if it's a new feature but I don't remember seeing it last time we went in 2017.
Knowing the rough price in dollars of the tickets you've purchased and the difference between that and the cost of the AP is a good guide for what you should expect to pay to upgrade. It's how we knew $460 + tax for the 4-park pass was not a good deal!

Thank you! I do not expect to obtain a great discount. In my case, the question is that i booked a package with hotel, tickets and DDP so if I want to obtain a annual pass i must upgrade my tickets. That the reason for my questions.
