Glasgow Airport Strikes

2c12 hour strikes have been announced at Glasgow and Aberdeen
7th and 10th of June from 4am to 4pm
Hope no dibber she are affected

Oh no we fly 7th June just had an email from TC but moving our flight earlier 10 minutes. Who is striking.

It+appears to be ground staff it’s a pension issue dispute been going on for+months

Jings - Off to London at 17:25 on the 7th. What with strike and the BA Lounge being closed for refurbishment, doesn't bode well for an easy journey.

I know it’s hard to find any info but our sons friend works there and he
Gave us the info
He’s said he will,let us know of any changes
It’s timed to hit the majority of inter city / holiday busy flight times
Airport saying minimum disruption but it’s a lot of ground staff security baggage etc so some impact for sure

We'll maybe go hand baggage only then. That's a pain, I can't really be bothered with packing light and carting it all about 😕

It will basically only effect security, fire service and cleaning. Just about every other job is done by 3rd parties. It will not effect check in, boarding or baggage directly.

The airport has plans to cover the essential positions to keep the airport open.
