Paying Deposit to BA

At the beginning of May I booked 5 nights in New York with BA.com. I went to pay a deposit with a debit card but it wouldn't go through the security check so I went back in the booking to use a credit card. However, the credit card has been charged £500.00, correctly, and £500.00 has also gone out of the bank from the debit card too! My booking on BA is only showing £500.00 being paid. I am trying to contact BA to find where the other money is but having no luck. Does anyone have any advice please or contact numbers I can use? I have tried ringing but am told lines are busy then I am cut off. I will keep trying.

Contact your bank. Alternatively try ringing BA but choose a different option - I always do this if I can’t get through to companies.

Sometimes perseverance is required for BA! I hate having to call them.

In the meantime I would ring your bank and tell them that it has gone off two cards.
