dongle

We have builders in our home so have to move out for about a month and will need a dongle to get internet.
Can someone advise me about what I would need for a family of four who generally browse and watch Netflix

A mobile hotspot, mostly referred to as MiFi and a good data plan. I’ve got a Huawie one which can have up to 10 devices connected wireless and runs at up to 4G. Take a look at something like that.

We have just moved into a new build and there will be no fibre available for 18/24 months. Existing residents with Sky/BT/Plusnet etc have reported abysmal speeds (up to 7mbs but rarely achieved) so we have decided to go with the Huawei Cube through 3 with unlimited data, for now, which is typically achieving 26mbs. We run 2 TV's with Netflix/Now TV, 2 PC's, mobiles and tablets etc. It does drop out occasionally but restarting usually sorts that out. We pay £25 per month.

so yeah, you need a mifi dongle. but if you have an old mobile phone lying around, theres a chance you could just tether from that instead...

but if not, something like this:

amazon/Huawei-E557...nguag e=en_GB

couple it with a data sim. this one seems reasonable. £25 for a month of unlimited data (obviously depends on reception quality/speed in your area, but should be ok) - depends how long you need it for but this is contract free, so just cancel it before the end of the month

Well we moved into our temp accommodation 2 weeks ago and were able to take our BT router with us but we could only get 2.5 mbs download so today I set up the above as recommended and am getting 42mbs so once again thank you
