25.2 - SAS Gold Lounge
MIL came to get us at 7 and we were quickly on our way to the airport. It was very busy, and we spent a fair amount of time checking in, going trough security and browsing the duty free, so we only had a couple of minutes in the SAS Gold Lounge to get some breakfast to go. So I present to you: a ham and cheese sandwich 😂 Hopefully it will get better! We are on the plane now getting ready to eat our first meal!

SK955 Oslo - Miami
Just before lunch was due to be served, the fasten seatbelt sign came on and we hit severe turbulence that lasted almost two hours. I was starving when lunch was finally served. Infant meal: Smoothie, water and a jar of baby food that we declined because it was for 8 months and older. Child meal: Pasta bolognese, a salad, bread roll, crackers, coconut and chocolate ganache and a bag of candy. Really nice meal and Max ate it all. Adult meal: Elderberry chocolate beef. Well, that’s a strange combination! It was alright, but the mash tasted horrible! I don’t know if it was elderberry in the mash that I don’t like or if it was something else. It was served with a salad, bread roll, crackers, cheese and passion fruit cheesecake. Just before landing they served this flatbread with cheese and a juice. All very tasty, but I was disappointed in the quantity as I was really hungry. The child meal was a HUGE ham and cheese baguette and it was delicious! Luckily for me Max couldn’t finish his so I ate the rest.

Drive from Miami to Orlando
In hindsight we shouldn’t have taken this drive straight after a ten hour long flight with jet lag. The drive took over five hours due to rush traffic, accidents and stopping at every service plaza to stretch out legs and get coffee or a snack. Thankfully the kids slept all the way so it was just me and Jo that was tiered. I completely forgot to take pictures and I don’t know the price since I waited in the car with the kids while Jo got inside to buy chicken strips from KFC, coffee and donuts from Dunkin Donuts. It is now currently 6’o clock and I’m waiting for Mie to wake up so we can go to IHOP and get some breakfast. FYI I will probably not update this report before we go home and do it all after we get home.
